Y provides a framework for eliminating PHP coding in favor of data-templating combined with a robust plugin framework.
Complex websites can be made with Y rather than using CTools, Views, Features, Page Manager and the multitude of other classic Drupal 7 modules.
This website is a YAD7 / Drupal 7 site built using Version 2 of the Y module. It uses a standard Drupal 7 / YAD7 installation and only 9 contributed modules.
